Recording testimonials on video rapidly multiplies emotional impact.
Here are 3 reasons why.

1. Seeing is believing.
If people can see a real person, they believe them, unlike some random written testimonials which could be made up. And even if it isn’t, a video has more appeal because it’s done live.

Story is a proven way to convey emotion. When you hear a compelling story, you get enticed. You emotionally connect. Story is the bait that will temp your audience.

2. Someone endorsing you is more powerful then you talking about yourself.
People are busy. They don’t care about you. But if someone else endorses you, it’s way more credible.

3. It streamlines your content.
There is a lot of poor video marketing content out there. Poor meaning it’s all over the place and looses the attention of the viewer.

A good video does only one thing. The watcher of the video only wants one thing. A testimonial only does one thing. Get the picture?

So once you agree to get them on video, you have to make it appealing.

Here is my ‘Hollywood Formula’ to make amazing video testimonials that demand attention from your clients!


Ask your testimonial subject these three questions:

  1. What was the problem you had?
  2. What did you get?
  3. How are you better now?

I took this process from the story arc formula used in all major Hollywood movies:

  1. Conflict
  2. Climax
  3. Resolution
